I've decided to make a list of some thoughts I've been having about life in general... take them however you may:
-being away from family drives me crazy sometimes.
-be around people who care about you and who help you make good decisions.
-eating only guacamole for dinner is fine with me.
-I was introduced to ear plugs this year and they are magic!
-three isn't always a great number; some people just like two and even one.
-do what is best for you, but don't screw the people around you.
-be honest about what is bothering you.
-enjoy lame movies (i.e. Kung Pow).
-okay, I admit that I am obsessed with Twilight.
-when someone asks "where would you like to eat?"... don't say "it doesn't matter."
-more than one person can be working in the kitchen.
-my friends can help themselves around the house... I tire of playing host.
-Therma-flu does help some nights...
-if you can't make your present house feel like a home... then what the hell?
-I'm tired of feeling like I am still in college.
-they say every 10 seconds a dog is beaten... well, my dog is now a statistic... I joke!
-ah, why pine over someone who probably isn't worth your time?
-dreams about losing your teeth and vampires in one night may not be a good sign.
-you should probably listen to other peoples' conversations because they might expect you to listen to everything they say (so they don't have to mention the conversation a second time).
-bitch sessions always come back to bite you in the tush.
-perhaps I should get a journal so some of these thoughts are private... (but what if others have the same thoughts as mine, wouldn't they like to know someone is in the same boat?)

Especially up here in Bethel! Your thought made me think how true that is at all times, but particularly in a place that could offer an entire menu with variations of seal. We've (so far) managed to avoid that calamity, but I'm sure it won't be long!
We just moved here in January...I'm substitute teaching at the high school and my wife is the Pastor-Developer of the Lutheran Church in Bethel. I was doing a little "internet anthropology" and linked to your blog from someone else's...
I'd say you should blog more, but then I'd have to too! Take care and thanks for the enjoyable read!
